D style computer cables, these are known as D-Subminiature , or DA-15 cables.   Virtually all D style cables are now referred to as DBxx cables, even though the B originally indicated a 25 pin shell.  Please note these are NOT DB15 HD cables, which use a smaller shell with 3 rows of contacts.

These cables can be used as extension cables for existing DB-15 cables, and are commonly used for the following equipment:

  • Video switchers; Control Panel to mainframe (Grass Valley, etc.)
  • Gentner TS612 phone systems
  • Some Early Computer system ports
