This reel recorder runs at one speed, which is likely 1.875 IPS.  It is powered by a 9 volt and a D battery cell.  It is in the original packing, along with an ear piece, crystal microphone, manual and warranty card (no postage necessary!).

Battery terminals are in very good condition, with no corrosion.

This machine has no capstan motor nor pressure roller.  The tape speed is determined by the take up reel and the resistance of a felt pad or two in the tape path.

The case is in good condition, with some marks from contact with the microphone cable over many years.  The plastics used for the shell and the mic cable have interacted (along with the styrofoam) and indented the parts of the case they were in contact with.

The mic cable has a broken shell on the 1/8" plug.

Not recommended for use aside from as a display piece.  The mechanism should be cleaned and lubed even for demonstration purposes.
