FRONT PANEL

(1) POWER LED -

When lit, the POWER LED indicates that the Reanimator is
powered and ready for operation.

(2) THRESHOLD control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control allows you to set the level at which compression
will begin. It is adjustable from -40dB to +20dB.

(3) RATIO control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control determines the degree of compression applied to
the signal once it has exceeded the threshold level set by the
THRESHOLD control. The compression ratio is defined by
the change in input level divided by the change in output
level. At a 2:1 ratio setting, a 2dB increase in input level will
result in a 1dB increase in output level. At the infinity:1 setting, the
output level will remain constant for the entire length of time
that the input signal is above the threshold level - regardless
of the dynamic characteristics of the signal.

(4) ATTACK control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control determines the speed at which compression will
begin once the signal exceeds the threshold point set by the
THRESHOLD control. This control is adjustable from 1 to 500
milliseconds.

(5) RELEASE control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control determines the speed at which compression will
cease after the signal drops below the threshold point. This
control is adjustable from .05 seconds to 4 seconds.

(6) AUTO IN/OUT switch (Channels 1 and 2) -

Engaging the AUTO switch allows the Reanimator to automatically select optimal attack and release times based
on the dynamic content of the input signal. These attack
and release times are continuously adjusted as the
dynamic content of the input signal varies. When switched
in, the ATTACK and RELEASE controls are disabled.

(7) OUTPUT control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control adjusts the final output level for the channel,
and is adjustable from -20dB to +20dB.

(8) DYNAMIC ENHANCE control (Channels 1 and 2) -

Dynamic Enhancement allows you to replace any high
frequencies lost through the compression process for
extremely natural-sounding dynamics control.
Enhancement is only added when compression is taking
place.

(9) HUSH™ EXPANDER control (Channels 1 and 2) -

This control determines the signal level at which downward
expansion will begin, and is adjustable over a 60dB range.

(10) HUSH™ IN/OUT switch and LED (Channels 1 and 2) -

This switch determines whether the HUSH™ circuit is
activated or bypassed for the channel. When lit, the LED
indicates that the HUSH™ circuit is currently activated.

(11) BYPASS button and LED (Channels 1 and 2) -

This switch determines whether the channel is activated or
bypassed. When lit, the LED indicates that the compressor
and HUSH™ for the channel is currently bypassed.

(12) STEREO MASTER switch and LED -

This switch allows you to configure the Reanimator for
either stereo or mono applications. For stereo applications,
this switch ties the compression and HUSH™ circuits of
both channels together for precise tracking. When
engaged, Channel 1's controls are master and Channel 2's
controls are inoperable (except in/out switches).

Note: To avoid mis-tracking when using the stereo master, ensure that both
channel's in/out switches are set to the same position.

REAR PANEL

(1) XLR OUTPUT connectors (Channels 1 and 2) -

These balanced XLR connectors provide channel outputs
from the Reanimator at a +4dB reference.

(2) 1/4" OUTPUT jacks (Channels 1 and 2) -

These unbalanced 1/4" mono jacks provide channel outputs
from the Reanimator at a -10dB reference.

(3) XLR INPUT jacks (Channels 1 and 2) -

These balanced XLR connectors provide channel inputs to
the Reanimator at a +4dB reference.

(4) 1/4" INPUT jacks (Channels 1 and 2) -

These unbalanced 1/4" mono jacks provide channel inputs to
the Reanimator at a -10dB reference.

(5) 1/4" SIDECHAIN IN jacks (Channels 1 and 2) -

This 1/4" mono jack provides an input to the sidechain on the
Reanimator from the output of a graphic or parametric
equalizer for manual de-essing purposes.

(6) 1/4" SIDECHAIN OUT jacks (Channels 1 and 2) -

This 1/4" mono jack provides an output from the sidechain on
the Reanimator to be connected to the input of a graphic or
parametric equalizer when manually de-essing material.

(7) DE-ESSER IN/OUT switch -

When engaged, the De-esser circuit automatically
eliminates virtually all sibilance-related problems, as well as
the need for inserting an equalizer and notching. If
sidechain access is preferred, the De-esser can be
switched out.

(8) POWER switch -

When switched in, applies power to the Reanimator.

(9) 4 pin DIN POWER jack -

This 4-pin DIN connector accepts power from the AC
adaptor supplied with the Reanimator.
