Jensen C6856 12" Coaxial Driver,16Ω

This is a 16Ω driver, model C6856, date code of 220006, crossover cap mounted under the magnet cover.  The P35 Tweeter is designated a C1 6864.   The basket and cones are all exceptionally clean, so much so that they appear to be of very recent issue.  Since this driver was removed from an cabinet that appears to be of 60's vintage, it might make sense that this driver was built at the same time--1960, which would jibe with the middle 0 in the date code.  

The date code 220006 indicates this speaker was manufactured in the 6th week of 1960 (or 1950), and the C prefix would indicate this has a ceramic magnet assembly.  Full Jensen part # is  401-31-C6856 .

There is a stamp on the back of the cone that reads "3012Y06W5".
