 Recently pulled from a small FCP suite this piece was lightly used.  Please note this item does not include any patch cords.   They are available through TecNec or any Ocean Matrix Dealer.   bibb technical can source these cables if you'd like to purchase a new set.

OCEAN MATRIX 8XFW FIREWIRE PATCHBAY

The 8XFW is a convenient passive patch solution for firewire media devices such as DV player-recorders, DVCAM, DV NLE ports and DV MEDIA CONVERTERS.

The system is designed on a 1RU rack mountable panel and provides 1 row of eight (8) patch paths for DV Fire wire signals.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRODUCT IS BUILT WITH RJ45 CONNECTORS ON THE FRONT AND IEEE 1394 6PIN FIREWIRE CONNECTORS IN THE REAR. This is done for a reason and the procedure explained below should not be deviated from, or damage may result if the incorrect devices are patched.  

 

The 8XFW was NOT designed to be used with IEEE 1394 peripherals such as HARD DRIVES, SCANNERS, PRINTERS OR SERVERS.

The product is designed for Firewire media devices ONLY.  All machine connections must be made via the rear panel mounted 6pin IEEE 1394 connectors.   The front panel is then used to configure the input/output signal paths using the provided RJ45 patch cables. DO NOT USE STANDARD RJ45 CAT5 CABLE PATCH CABLES.
