This unit is a very early version of the 528 that used a screw driver adjustment for the front panel gain control. The date of manufacture is 1987. This version has many of the features found in the current version, the 528e. It is still sought after for its excellent quality and versatility, and often modified with high performance op amps and caps.

This piece is in good working order, the only noticable defect is some occasional noise from the controls, specifically the Hi EQ frequency pot.

All the functions are normaled in default mode, but they can individually be bypassed with switches on the front panel. The signal path can be modified to meet just about any requirements through terminations on the rear panel.
